FORT KNOX, Ky. — A senior at Fort Knox Middle High School signed her letter of intent Dec. 14 to play soccer for MidAmerica Nazarene University in the fall of 2023.
Nicole Herter, as captain, played various positions on the Eagles squad during the 2022 women’s soccer season, including midfielder, striker, defender and keeper, earning three goals and two assists for the season as well as 29 saves as keeper. She is the only student on the team to play all four years of high school.
Herter joins a solid women’s team at MNU, as the Pioneers are coming off of a winning season.
Flanked by siblings Ariel Herter and Justin Shepard at the school multimedia room during the ceremony, Herter smiled as she inked her commitment to the Kansas City area private college.
